Ok guys, the season is on the brink. Anyone who feels they might want to get together feel free to put up the place, time, location, etc. so that others may respond and go from there.
The more the merrier guys. The great thing about get togethers is that it doesn't need to be formal, it doesn't need to be expensive and you fish at your own pace.
Cool buddy. Can't wait to hook up with you................We fished yesterday at Trail Creek,it was 22degrees.I was 1 for 2 with a nice 30 inch really dark buck,I guess about 9 pounds. We stopped buy the St.Joe and fished for an hour, I lost a pretty little jack that jumped 4 or five times. We got some decent video and pics I'll try to post them soon. Kevin
Sounds like a plan Kevin. Whether we meet in Indiana or try Wisconsin, I'd be up for it. As the weather gets better and things start happening, we can touch base and go from there.
hey phil, meeting new people and fishing new places is always great. I was actually born in Jainesville,Wi. I was too young to even know about fishing when we moved, so I havent been able to fish any Wis. rivers. Getting back to Wis. to visit some family may also meen I need to bring my gear. If we travel that way soon I'll be sure to look you up. You seem like a very knowlegable and friendly guy, I would like to meet and fish you and some of your comrads. On the other hand I meet alot of guys from the Chicago area that come to fish Trail Creek, they say its about an hour travel for them. As a matter of fact there are more Illinois license plates than Indiana plats at the access site. Any day of the week any time of year you can hook some real brutes out of our small creek. There is even a good Salmon run in the fall,I believe its just as good as the Manistee's run. So if you got a weekend or day let me know, we can go fishing, and if the opportunity arises I;d love to fish Wisconsin. Take care and make the best of any and all days on the water.....................Kevin
I am hoping that as these cold days eventually dwindle down, we might find a few guys who are looking to explore some new waters in search of steelhead and brown trout.
I see a few people here are relatively local to where I am located (Palatine, IL) and was curious who might be interested in getting together for a spring outing. I also suggest others take advantage and gather with one another to hit your local stream, lake, etc. See ya on the water!
